It is in the settings for Adobe Reader.

Abobe Reader -> Edit -> Preferences -> Internet -> "Display PBF in Browser"

It should work automatic. Whats happens when you click a pdf?

Also it may help us if you could post your IE version, Acrobat vers. etc..

Let me get this straight. When you click on a PDF file in Avant, it only gives you the option to save to disk? Acrobat Reader doesn't open? When you save to disk, what icon does the file use? Have you checked the file types to make sure PDF's open with Acrobat Reader? The reason I am asking is if you checked the preference in Acrobat and it still doesn't open, it sounds like PDF's are not associated to open in Acrobat Reader.

my acrobat is associated with PDF!
just everytime i click a PDF link, i want the PDF file to be opened in my browser instead of opening the PDF file in a separate Acrobat reader window

I assumed it was but wanted to make sure. Sometimes people add software that changes the associations.

Same Problem Fixed

Post by oroper » Tue Feb 17, 2004 4:57 pm

 I had the same problem, when i went to open a pdf file it showed a small icon in the top left corner of the page.

Fix-I uninstalled Adobe 5 and dounloaded the new Adobe 6 and reinstalled.

Now works perfect.
