Oh do you mean you want a notification that Avant has blocked a script or ActiveX?

Uhm... I don't know if I have understood the point of this forum and what a "button" is; I am looking for additional buttons, like the "block pop up" button (or the forward / back button etc) that would allow disabling scripts/activeX with one click and also make it possible to see at a glance if scripts are activated or not. that's been on the request list for ages, but Anderson doesn't seem interested

Buttons are companions to Avant addons. And blocking popups are a on or off function. Avant either blocks popups or it doesnt with the exception of the exception list in the Options window. As for a button to disable scripts/activex with one click, you can if you click tools and look at the bottom and you will see scrips and activex. You just click each one and they are disabled. And to see if scripts are activated or not you just goto the addons section of Avant Browser Options and click the 2nd tab and you will see whether scripts are being used or not.

Requests for community created addons/buttons should go under
Scripts and Buttons Development and Discussions.
However I don't believe its possible for a user to create the particular buttons your asking for via Avants add on system. Currently, this is something only the developer can add... its also already been requested here,
http://forum.avantbrowser.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2095
I think he knows about the Tools menu Matt, he wants the buttons on a toolbar.
