IE rendering engine

Post by mathman » Mon Aug 27, 2012 9:59 pm

There are two versions of IE rendering, IE9 and IE compatible. What's the difference?

The only thing I've noticed is that IE9 has a bug when using ieSpell, while IE compatible does not.

See this thread http://forum.avantbrowser.com/viewtopic ... 42#p179479 for the difference between IE9 and IE compatible rendering.

To use an old expression, the description is "inside baseball". As a user how would I see the difference, other than the ieSpell problem?
