Looks like we'll have to wait on AB 9 for a sort option since v8 Final is out today!  ;D

No, no. It might be a little while, but there will be an 8.01 and so on. There's already a long list of improvements that are waiting. Some of them are even partially coded, but just were'nt ready for 8.0

Try this: Just go to the "skins" folder in Avant and open it w/windows explorer.  Right click anywhere on the page and choose, "Arrange icons by: Name

They will be alphabetized!  :D

Tried it already. Didn't work (well at least for me using win2k)

Closed AB, opened windows explorer, went to skins under AB, clicked on arrange by name. Closed explorer,
opened Avant, skins were in the same order (not alpha) as I left them.

Explorer only changes the view, not the order they are actually written on the disk.

patg: that won't work. weezle: like i've mentioned a few times, take them all out of the folder and put them back in the order you want to view them (one by one).

I guess that's ok if you want to take the time to do that...by the way....where are you putting them when you take them out of the folder?   It's just much easier, like PastorK did.....to create a "skins storage" folder in My Documents or wherever.....make sure all your skins are in that folder.......alpha them.......then dump (delete) the skins from the program's "skins" folder and copy the stored skins all at once to the "skins" folder.....they will be in alpha order...

pippi: what pastork did is exactly what I'm suggesting. The reason it's the same thing is because  as I mentioned in a previous post in this section, when you put htem in alpha. order in the 2nd folder, when you move them, they are also moved in alpha order. My further suggestion was for people who didn't want them in alpha order, but in another order (based on how much they use them for instance.

Ooops........sorry.........I guess I can't imagine any other order except alphabetical.......but one by one would be the way for any other kind of order.........hmmmmmmmm......
