Off Topic but:
As a temporary getaround you could use http://www.digitallis.co.uk/pc/ResizeEnable which makes the window resizeable. Works well with Organize Groups and is very easy to use.

Thanks for the tip, ABman!

I've got ResizeEnable auto-starting at boot time now. It handles AB Options and Organize Bookmarks quite well too. All three of these were bugbears for me but not so much now. (It handles as well as the File > Save dialog too, which used to be another annoyance.)

It's a quite good interim solution, until Anderson can make the official design change to these dialog boxes.

I'm not sure if it's been brought up in the previous posts, but how about finally fixing the Quick Search editing function. The only way to edit a Quick Search URL is to first retype the shortcut.

And another issue that can be found in the same option block, how about letting us sort columns by clicking on their headers? It's easy to get a pretty long list of Quick Search entries, URL Aliases, and blocker list entries... and the only way to tell you have one in there already? Look through each and every one. :? That doesn't make sense.

Even the developer probably don't know such information.
Just give him some time to fix as much bugs as possible and make the new version as stable as possible.
No need to rush.

I rather write it twice : first things first !

This is what one can read in the HELP file of Avant Browser
This document was revised: Dec 28th, 2006
We are March 2009 and it is about time after so many versions, that the HELP file is updated.

Too many questions are raised here in this forum that would have been avoided
if HELP and FAQ's were more detailed.

Please be sure to bring back the SIZE BUTTON that has the Aa icon on it, if you haven't done so already. I had to revert to like Version 10 so I can still use that button, but as a result I cannot take advantage of your newer updates.

Thanks!

I guess the last build where this button was available is much newer than version 10.
It was available in 11.x for sure.

Thats the zoom button. crusader666 is talking about the text size button, to change to small, medium, or large.

I agree with Hennes, a 64-bit version would be great. The industry is moving that way anyway. I too am beta testing Windows 7 in both 32 and 64-bit versions. I also run Windows XP 64-bit.
I'm a big fan of Avant as it’s allowed at my job that really only supports IE. Since Avant use the IE core they allow me to use it. It does a much better job at keeping the garbage of pop-ups and ads from sucking up more of our already taxed network. I also like the tab recovery and the easy ability of backing up Bookmarks off site. Glad to see you’re making the option of personal settings to be saved off line as well. I've grown tired of having to reset everything if I forget to check "Public Computer" at logon.
Avant is still my favorite browser to use when I can. The boys at Microsoft have allotted going for them with IE8 but it's still not as good as Avant, especially in the Ad blocking area. Opera still has too many problems with loading pages. Firefox is good; it's just not for me.

How about a way to view your bookmarks if you happen to be on a device that doesn't have Avant browser?
