Perhaps they joined to ask a question then did a search and found the answers they needed. Some might also be those who registered and never got their confirmation letter which is needed to activate the user. There has been a few cases when someone registered and didn't recieve their confirmation letter until the second or third time.

Yes, and then the absolutely "unthinkable" for some as well could have possibly happened - which is that they could have just 'happened' to come in on one of the downloads where it just wasn't one of "the best of the bunch" (if you know what I mean honestly - there were a couple that were worse than most) - and thought that they wouldn't like it - and went elsewhere - OMG!!!

I know it's a horrid thought - but, I'm quite sure that some of that number is that... unfortunately... :(

This is my first post and I can tell you that the the theory about people joining to ask a question and then finding the answer by reading the forum is probably correct. I joined to ask a question about the CPU usage bug and found the answer by reading the forums.

Anyways, I switched to Avant because it is the best browser I have tried. The people here seem pretty cool so I hope to post more often.

I think that the beta section can't be seen by guests. Maybe another reason for no posters?

Edit: The Beta and Bug Report sections can't be seen by guests.

I don't know if that is good or not.
  • The Pros : They don't get to see The Betas, thinking they are variations of the Browser.
Detractors don't get to see Bugs & use them in posting reviews on C-net, 2haveit, etc. against Avant
  • The Cons: It looks like we might be hiding something
Personally it looks like the pros win.

Actually. They are just missconfigured.

I check the forum at least a couple times a day but rarely post. I find out what I want to know and enjoy the information given. Some really great people posting here and helpful too. Wouldn't even want to start naming names cause I'd miss someone.

Anyway, unless I have something useful to add, I don't. Except now.

 Hmmm.... I'm not really a poster here but I really enjoy reading your messages and post! I'm guilty to the fact that I switched to Mozilla Firebird (now Firefox) and used it for about 3weeks... well.... it's a nice browser... almost as fast as Avant... but, I just keep on coming back to what I really used for a lean and fast browser.. i.e Avant... I know it's not really a browser, just a shell... but the user friendliness and ease of use is what you will find in this browser.. not those 'coding' stuff that you still have to do before you can use Mozilla.. I used MyIE2 and Opera... well... it's to bloated I think... Anyway, I'm getting 'OFF - the - topic' here... I just downloaded a while ago the latest build and I'm really surprised! 8) I believe it's much faster than the previous version and I love the ADBLOCKER/ HUNTER feature...

Keep up the good work!!

I see you on the "signed in" list from time to time......drop in and give us some words of wisdom every so often.......lot of good people on here and sometimes we have fun, sometimes we get our dandruff ruffled, but for the most part a lot of good information and ideas flow through this forum...

I read as much of the forums I can get around to reading in my spare time, but I don't post too often unless I see an unanswered question I know the answer to, or to add input to something that I experience on a regular basis.

I enjoy the community, but my posts are few, especially since I spend a reasonable amount of time helping to moderate a local online community, and I'm applying an at least half-assed attempt to graduate this year :P

687 new members since then, of which 186 (27,07%) 0posters

7290 total members, 3556 0posters! (48,78%)

not bad, the situation's been improving! ;)

I have some good reasons for not posting so much:

1. There's nothing really big to discuss - I like the skins, I don't have any bugs - everything fine.

2. I'm not English so my English isn't really good.

3. So it's easier for me to talk in German in german forums
Sorry for my bad english

Personally, I don't really think it's that important. Looks like a lot of people have been helped without having to post.
