Yeah but you can still block those ads. They just have an option to allow certain unobtrusive ads to show if you want.

That actually explains a lot. Just this evening, I did a search for a local pizzaria and, all of a sudden, a full page Pizza Hut ad, folded into a paper airplane came flying through my window. I looked out and saw a Google Maps Street View car speeding off.
