Advertisers can pay AdBlock Plus to look the other way

That stinks. Adblock Plus should state that on their site. They should also stop saying it's free, since accepting payment to allow certain ads through makes it adware (advertising-supported software), not freeware.

Seems to me I read not too long ago that AP was owned either by GoOgle or an ad agency, can't remember which. I only used it for a short while a long time ago. I use Privoxy now with IE, but don't know if they have a version for Firefox or not.

hmm an adblocking software owned by an advertising company.. thats interesting :) it's like Marlboro selling "stop-smoking" products (which they do he he)
