Well.....sorry about that.  I got busy setting up my printers on a home network.....also going to work (the real kind) and taking care of the family.  Pretty lame, huh?

This weekend I'll be out of town again (but I'll have the trusty work laptop that I had to take AVANT off of).  I got so sick of getting yelled at at work for "working" on the computers that now I don't even use their hard disk....I just slip in a Knoppix Linux CD and run that but AVANT doesn't run on Linux yet!

Still looking forward to Anderson's next big release...but I understand even HE is busy working on a project for someone (yea!).

Hope everyone else is doing well....

Hi! I haven't been able to post much lately either due to a combination of a busy schedule and a minor chronic health issue. Also, I have spent a good deal of any spare time I've had following the war effort. Hope all is going well for everyone here!  :)

Well, I have just popped in to post a first message on this forum as I only discovered Avant recently so just registered as a forum member today. I guess like many others, watching/following the war effort is an unexpected distraction to normal life.
Cheers, from New Zealand

Rivertcf,

I was just wondering if New Zealand is one of the countries that has sent troops to Iraq.  Also, what seems to be the overall attitude toward the war in New Zealand?

Cheers back to you from Illinois.  :)

I believe it is only the US, Uk and a small contingent from Australia, but, of course, Rivertcf will be able to answer your question better than me. (I'm from Canada and we certainly haven't sent troops)

Actually, there have been reports that there are troops from as many as nine countries. However, most of these are small forces. For example, there is a token force of a few hundred Polish soldiers and an anti-chemical warfare unit from the Czech Republic. This is why I was wondering if New Zealand is among the countries showing support, perhaps with the supply of a small number of soldiers.
