Big tax refund?

Post by addonsfan » Tue Mar 17, 2009 6:16 am

Well... I am getting A LOT of money back from my tax refund. So why am I mad? I am getting way more than I deserve, more than my own father (in comparison) who paid about 100% more into his taxes.

Is it a mistake? Nope.

I am mad, because I do not deserve the amount I am getting, and if I'm getting that much, how many other people are getting more than they truly deserve?? People like my dad are hard working people, and because they pays their bills, and are pretty independant from the government, they get punished by having their money takin away??

- I do not pay any living expenses
- I pay rent under the counter (when I have the money, and if I feel like it)
- I have one bill that is nearly paid off, and for a mere $200 a month (actually $60 but theres no interest if I pay it off before 6 months)
- I don't have a license
- I have a job and I make about $10 an hour (even though I get paid by salary)
- I really, truly, honestly, do not pay that much in taxes

Does it make sense to get something for nothing? If not, then would it make sense for a country to succeed by having people get stuff for nothing? Sooner or later, no one will be doing anything. Things won't get done, because people are gonna get paid for not having a job. What food will we buy when the farmers decide they want something for nothing? Who will run the grocery stores when all the employees decided they want that? What about the contruction workers?

Want a glimpse of what our country is going to be like after a while? Take a look at GM. From what I hear, the car makers union is so strong, that former employees get paid for life. GM is on the brink of bankruptcy.

Welcome to the new socialist America.

Speaking of GM (and cars), I'd better hurry up and re-register my car before the registration fees double.

Yeah Noyb, save a buck or two. Well to give credit where credit is due, California did lead the nation for years on smog control devices on autos.

Hello addonsfan it could be worse you could have had to pay what ever you got back. But i agree with you 100 percent. This is another thing that bugs me my dad worked all is life paying un employment he paid it weekly never used it his whole life that is not right if one never used it should get atleast a few bucks back if you paid for it for 35 years but never used it
