Firefox 3.5 is now available
Release notes... wrote: What’s New in Firefox 3.5

Firefox 3.5 is based on the Gecko 1.9.1 rendering platform, which has been under development for the past year. Firefox 3.5 offers many changes over the previous version, supporting new web technologies, improving performance and ease of use. Some of the notable features are:

* Available in more than 70 languages.
* Support for the HTML5 <video> and <audio> elements including native support for Ogg Theora encoded video and Vorbis encoded audio.
* Improved tools for controlling your private data, including a Private Browsing Mode.
* Better web application performance using the new TraceMonkey JavaScript engine.
* The ability to share your location with websites using Location Aware Browsing.
* Support for native JSON, and web worker threads.
* Improvements to the Gecko layout engine, including speculative parsing for faster content rendering.
* Support for new web technologies such as: downloadable fonts, CSS media queries, new transformations and properties, JavaScript query selectors, HTML5 local storage and offline application storage, <canvas> text, ICC profiles, and SVG transforms.
The Fastest Firefox Yet

Things move quickly online, and we’ve beefed up the engine that runs Firefox to make sure you can keep up: Firefox 3.5 is more than twice as fast as Firefox 3, and ten times as fast as Firefox 2.* As a result, Web applications like email, photo sites and your favorite social networks will feel snappier and more responsive.

Looking forward to Orca 1.2 build 2 then, which will use Firefox 3.5.1 which includes the fix for https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=501605

Orca 1.2build1's slow startup was very annoying!

I guess the main purpose of 3.5.1 is to fix a highly critical security vulnerability, But I might be wrong.

There was another security bug found in FF 3.5.1 although Mozilla claims that it is not exploitable.

For those who don't want to move to 3.5 yet... Firefox 3.0.12 Released

Note: "Mozilla is trying to move people to the newer Firefox 3.5, which offers faster JavaScript program execution, new privacy features, and a handful of technologies geared for more powerful Web applications. And Mozilla is pushing the new browser hard. Security and stability fixes for the 3.0.x series will end in January 2010."

Mozilla is keeping the 3.0.x branch open along with the new 3.5.x launch. So they update both 3.0.x and 3.5.x.
