Yes, I think lots of people are if they will admitted it. And coming forward and admitting it is the first step toward recovery.Probably a lot more people than you are taking anti-psychotic and sleeping pills for this addication. Well here it is a little early for my sleeping pill. But later.

Well, I take a lot of different pills, But none of them are the sleeping pills...
I guess I can't fall asleep without a pill just because I've got too used to staying up all night...
Kinda, I could fall asleep without any problems, Then, I've started to not sleep for a few nights and quickly got too used to it and now it's impossible for me to fall asleep at night.
Maybe I'll be able to "heal" it if I'll go to sleep at the same time each night, But I know that I'm not going to do this. If I'm going to sleep, Then it's usually at about 3-5AM.

Also, I've noticed that this article is talking about "Standard" computer users/end-users, Which is quite weird.
It seems like this problem is mainly common between programmers/web developers or any other people who have a job related to the computers industry...

Well, there are health concerns, sooner or they will manifest themselves. If you could find a sleeping pill which is compatable with your anti-psychoitic med's, that might be the way. I know when I was studying(self studying) the Ruby Programming Language, I stayed up late, then go to bed. And then later during the night, wakeup, Say "I got the answer", I would getup again and work on it again. But health problems started manifesting themselves and I had to take a leave from studying which I am still on.

Well, I meant that this anti-psychotic pill helps me to fall asleep...
I know, that sounds weird because the anti-psychotic pill shouldn't act like a sleeping pill, But the main thing is that it helps me so I don't really care how it works. Lol.

I used to be on my computer from the time I would wake up, until the time I would go to bed. But I wouldn't call this an addiction, it's just that, well... there's really nothing better to do. It's not like I have dreams about it though.
Nowadays, I have quite a bit of friends. But a lot of them are the friends I really don't want to be affiliated with, ever since making a decision to quit three other, more serious, addictions. I would rather all of my friends be online, then go back to smoking cigerettes, weed, and drink beer every day of my life.
Really, it's either go on the internet or escape reality, because the reality is that I live in this hot wasteland, with absolutely nothing to do. Especially during the summers, which right now, is 102°F (in the shade). And I can really see a connection with where I live, and where someone I know on here lives.

I reckon you 3 guys are all younger than my 56yrs. I`ve lived the last 40yrs in irregular hours of work and sleep. Since i went online(Dec 05) its a real pleasure to stay up all night at the keyboard. Yet i`ve never played com games other than `Free Rice`. I have almost no friends as i`ve mostly been a loner. In the times when work keeps me far from any computer its a real pleasure to get back online and therefore back in here.

I might be "addicted" but I have no intention of changing that ... I have a lot of friends online (some of whom I have actually met) and it is for me a lot more entertaining than staring at the telly (which after all is purely one-way communication) :D

Gotta cut them down to least couple of hours.

Check out the thread in this forum on "Dumpster Diving"
