Tone,Bass and Treble control

Post by ReleaseRoderick » Sun Dec 02, 2007 1:20 pm

Hi, I am looking for a Tone control to alter the speaker sounds. Example: Skype calls are sometimes in a deep bass mode and some music is often high pitched.
Well, i found VLC Media Player via this Forum. Anyone please........

You should have bass and treble settings in your Advanced Sound properties in the Control Panel.

Not in here there isn`t. In CP i have `CMI Audio config`, but nothing shows when i ck on it. I do have `Avance AC97 Audio config`which has a half-hearted G.Equaliser. I suppose that via its Shortcut it`s going to have to do....
Dear Father Christmas, I`ve been a good boy all year, can i have.....!

Thank you for pointer, my friend.

Those controls can be found in Windows Media Player. But other than that I dont know of anything else to try. I'm sure there is some out there.

Uninstalled WMPlayer as it would`nt play Radio Seagull amongst others. VLC Media Player turns me on now. I`d like 2 nice knobs on screen to adjust via mi mouse, like the radio in mi old Ford Zepher 4...god bless it. Time for a bit of browsing, i reckon, Matt.

That's odd, I'd always assumed that those settings were universal, but I guess that maybe they're just "card specific?"

I was specifically referring to the Volume tab, Advanced in the Device volume box, and then Advanced under Play Control.

Even still, I guess it's not easily accessible.

Within VLC theres always the equalizer with various options, including full treble & bass although Live is my preference, although that doesn't help your Skype audio.

Thank you, hornakapopolis, Matt and Dave.
I have the same but different on both screenshots. There must be an issue in there because many slide`s are greyed-out and a couple of slide`s don`t change anything(excluding those that shoud`nt)
However, i realise i have Quick Time, Real Player, VLC, Whatever Skype`s using, plus
the remains of Win Media Player and CMI....i may have forgotten one or ten more.
Time to do some clean uninstalling.
Personally i`d like it all to run through VLC.

Yea, I don't have any of that in my sound controls. Its all pretty generic windows settings. Since all I have is integrated sound.

WindowBlinds.

I'm not a huge fan of Vista, but I do love that look. ;)
