In my office, I use our fax/scanner/copier to FTP files to our web server so that our employees can get them from home without having to come into the office. Obviously, I don't want just anyone seeing our work, so everything is password protected. The access they have now is simply a folder with their name on it with no index file. Over time, I'll have to go in and delete the files we no longer need from previous days, weeks, months, etc.
Here is a summary of what I'd like:
- Allows me to FTP the files
- After FTPing the files, no further action is needed on my part
- They can, at least, delete files through the browser.
- Access controlled
- Requires not that much more interaction that is currently needed, as I'm not the one that will always be doing this.
And, our host is using a Linux server. I'd appreciate any suggestions that anyone has.
