Right, I wasn't thinking. For some odd reason, I thought that a cookie would be needed to get the user's timezone. Probably because I just woke up. Thanks

He understands that. His team is most likely using a shared server which they have no control over what software is put on it. He is trying to get the team to move to a different server that supports php. (BTW: most shared hosts that I've come across only have ASP on Windows Servers (This doesn't mean all of them are like that))

Edit: woooooo... it's been a looooong day. I totally missed the second page... I think I'm going to bed before I hurt myself or someone else. :P

That is correct Dr. I want the president of the club to move the website from a shared Windows server to a Linux/Apache server.
Though on my home pc, I have IIS running ASP and PHP and I have apache with PHP support. In Linux, I only have apache with PHP support, unless someone want to buy me ChiliSoft!

Coolnat, I think you want to change your script in the head sections to

Code: Select all

<script type="text/javascript" src="realtime.countdown.v1.1.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
function load() {
   countdown('time', "January 26, 2006 0:00:00", 2, "Courtney's Birthday");
}
</script>
This will validate for 4.01 html strict.

Eh, yeah I missed that. I'll go change it now (I'm so glad I have a global directory with all of my functions in it ;) .. just have to edit js_countdown().. done)

Do you need any more help with that javascript?
