I 'always' keep you in My Prayers Eric, when these stupid things happen in Florida (like last years triple whammy too - but all)...

And, I also keep all in the Forum who have their 'Location' listed, and the ones I can 'remember' (I'm old ya know - hehehe) but, especially since most are, in fact, on the East Side of the US "if" they are "in" the US - other than in the US - I don't know, on a map, where they are located, unless I get one out and look, and I don't have one - duh - except on the computer - okay - I feel stupid now - - Annnnyway - I remember almost 'all' of the Mods locations...

And, I have my own family in Virginia and Massachusetts - so, I watch for those 2 states as well 'if' any ever go 'straight up' the East Coast, as some have been known to do... I don't know anyone in the path this one is going (other than Florida)... Unless, of course, the Gulf ones ever hit Texas - then it's ME that runs - LOL...

So you better take good care of yourself, and you're definitely in my family prayers...

Stay SAFE,
"Judy"

To jkdclick,

You keep you and yours SAFE as well, ya hear??

I was not meaning whatsoever to leave 'anyone' out by mentioning the word 'Mods' - it's just that since I cannot get in here much, due to my family health issues, which are serious and most Mods know of it, so I won't go into it (I know they're greatful probably) - Those are the ONLY ones that I "really" know the "locations" of - which is why I put it the way that I did...

But - EVERYONE IN THE PATH - BE SAFE!!

And, my prayers are most certainly with you ALL... [-o<

I hope no one gets hurt..

But would this possibly delay the shuttle launch say, a couple weeks? It's set for the 13th right now, but it would be nice if they pushed it back to around the 28th. Then we could go see it!

Thanks, Ms. Judy! Should be fine here, unless Dennis makes a really radical right-hand turn. I'll probably just be getting a good soaking all day tomorrow and Sunday. I'm hoping all the storms this season miss Florida. We had enough of that crap last year, thanks. :(

Toodles...

Hey Cool,

So far, I haven't heard of any delays in the launch. By the time the 13th rolls around, weather should be clear and sunny.

Are you planning on being in the Cape Canaveral area sometime later in the month? Shuttle launches are pretty neato. I can see them from all the way over here on the other coast of Florida, if the weather is clear. The night launches are the coolest to watch.

Later...

Thankfully, it looks like I'll just be getting a good soaking... no other ill effects. Hope that applies to the rest of the storm season too.

Yeah, I'm going to be in Clearwater after like the 24th or so. We're hoping that we'll be able to catch some sort of launch. Might be going to orlando as well, along with stopping in Jacksonville for a day or two.

Ah... well, we were lucky in this area this time. Let's hope the remainder of the storm season is just as kind to us... and a little kinder to the Panhandle area. They're getting hammered about now. :(

Yea, no delays. I can't wait to see the shuttle from my backyard. It's been too long w/o a launch. I was at the Cape to see a launch once. BREATH TAKING!

Definitely agreed with you there Eric - SO - Just go out and get yourself a HUGE "Texas Size" Bar of Soap and Bottle of Shampoo - and "get to takin' care of business" (oh, good song 8) ) - Only kidding, of course, and only if there weren't any lightning around and just rain... since it's good for your hair, if you still have any? Kidding again?? I think?? Am I??

Just HAD to go there - was thinking about it when you said "good soaking" and couldn't resist...

Take Care, and yeah from what I watched on Fox News Channel - where you are in Tampa - and around there - seemed to just get drenched with rain and winds and stuff as usual - so, thank goodness you didn't get the blunt of it all... you had quite enough, as you mentioned, last year... you need the break there this year... I still prayed for all that DID unfortunately have to endure it's "rath" in the other locations... but they are saying that it wasn't as bad as they thought it was supposed to be - even as Ivan was - in Alabama - when they spoke with people... so, that's a blessing for sure!!

Again take care,
"Judy"

Well,
I'm a bit late cuz everyone already know about the huge hurricane "Katrina" that (AFAIK) also somehow affects Florida.(Am I right?)
But it mostly affected New Orleans.
Anybody care to discuss this?

Regarding Hurricane Katrina, Florida was very fortunate this time around. Sadly, that's not the case for Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi. :(
