The ABSOLUTE, PERFECT job!

Post by PatG » Sun Mar 27, 2005 4:41 pm

Folks, its been a while since posting, but just had to tell someone about my good fortune in getting the job I've been looking for all my life. Have been out of the workforce since 11/03 when I retired. However, been looking for something on a part time basis just to earn a few extra bucks that wouildn't wear out an old man. :) I was hired this past Tuesday as a "Quoter" quoting prices for automobile used parts. ALL the work is done right here in my home, 20 hours a week. This is the good part: I can do the hours ANYTIME I feel like it. Can't sleep? Get up and put in a hour or two. Take a two hour break and go back and do another hour. Was told I can even do hours on the weekend, if I FEEL LIKE IT. No travel gas expenses, no drycleaning bills, no wear and tear on a vehicle and don't have to worry about someone running a red light! AND my check is mailed right to my house every week. Company is local BTW and I'm so happy and excited can't hardly sleep at night! Sorry for the length of the post, but just wanted to share my good fortune!

HA! I work from home also. I do most of my 20 hours/week of work from right here in front of my computer with a phone in stuck in my ear. The commute to work in the morning is excellent, no stress at all.

I know where you're coming from, Pat. Enjoy the new job, buddy! Congrats! :)

Seriously, congratulations...........some of us, probably most of us go through our entire life without finding the "perfect" job.

Thanks Pip. Ya need to recheck my profile! Took me 67 years to find this job and guess I'll hang on to it until? Talking over the fence yesterday to neighbor about price of gas and explained to him what I was doing now. Says he has to drive 20 miles EACH WAY to work and the gasoline is really putting a noticable dent in his pocketbook. So glad I don't have to worry about that expense! 8)
