I tried to download the SR3 version of Avant and got a virus warning - it looked to me coming from Firefox! I was using Orca at the time.

It's a false positive. Which antivirus are you using? You can double check the file you downloaded by uploading it to a site called VirusTotal. These use a whole slew of antivirus products from different manufacturers to check the file.

I was able to download it using Avant. I could tell from the appearance of the message while in Orca that it was from an anti-virus program built into Firefox. I use Firefox often and the anti-virus messages have that specific appearance. My primary anti-virus program is Avira, but its messages look quite different.
