We can't open the web page you requested

Below is the message I receive when I try to open pages that I could previously open before all of the updates........I am not happy and wonder if others are having the same problem.....? This is very annoying as I know that the website I am trying to access is alive and well.....but for some reason this browser gives me the following message.........


We can't open the web page you requested ...
- Cannot Find Server - The web site you typed in could not be found on the internet.

Please try the following:

Please make sure your computer is connected to internet.

If you have a network firewall installed, please make sure your firewall is not preventing Avant Browser from accessing this website.

If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Continue your web browsing by searching the Internet below

ya i get that for a few site avant is my default browser and my book marks are the same. I have tried everything i cannot get to those few sites i get the same message you get. The only way i could get to those few sites was to use firefox just on those few sites. :)

Please open plain Internet Explorer and test to see if these pages open there. If they don't, go to Internet Options > Security and make sure these sites aren't listed in the Restricted zone.

This has now started happening with me on my banking site. I put the site in as a trusted site and it is not on the restricted list. (I cannot get into the site on IE either but previously could) Any suggestions?

Try doing a reset of Internet Explorer. Close all browsers then go to: Control Panel >> Internet Options >> Advanced >> Reset
