What results do you have with Avant and Firefox 3.5?
Please provide more system specifications.

Take a look at this topic: "find in this page" doesn't work

EDIT: Moved to the correct forum

"Find" works, but it crashes the browser most of the time.

What kind of "crash"? Does it lock up, display an error message, closes, other?
Is the problem with the keyboard shortcut or the menu too?
What is your IE and Avant version? Do you have any IE addons installed?
Please provide as much detail as possible in your replies.

It closes the browser as soon as I hit ctrl-F, I have the time to see the search box appear but it disappears and the browser closes, there is no message. I remember this was fixed in a previous version but I don't now which one and the problem came back in a newer version.
I don't use the menu.
The problem occurs on IE6 and IE7 and the most recent version of Avant. I have no addons.

Try to reset Internet Explorer: Close Avant and go to Control Panel >> Internet Options >> Advanced >> Reset

The bug is still present with last version of Avant on 2 different fresh Windows installs. Avant crashes about 8/10 when doing ctrl-F. I can be noted that it is at a different place than my first post so that means that this bug is present on all the PC I have access to. My PC at home, my PC at work and my colleague's PC at work. All with different hardware.

What does the crash do? Exit the application or show an error message?
Can you provide IE version, Windows version and Avant build details please.

As said above, Avant closes as soon as I hit ctrl-F and there is no message.

Both new problematic computers are using Windows XP Pro with IE6 and Avant 11.7 build 46 SR.

Thanks!

IE6! Why? Updating to IE7 or IE8 will fix many issues and greatly improve your browsing experience with Avant. (But if you are forced to stick with IE6 we can go through methods to fix it)

Locked-in, eh? OK, try this:

- Go to your Windows folder
- Find the "inf" folder
- Locate the file named "ie.inf"
- Right-click it and select "Install"
- Reboot your computer when the process completes
