I can confirm this bug keeps coming back. not only that, but I have a strong feeling that the ad blocker is vunerable of some exploits... but it's only an accusation at this point.

How do I post a print screen, or should I e-mail it? If e-mail, to whom?

When you reply there is an Upload attachment section with a Browse option down below your reply box where you can browse for your screenshot file name. Click Add the file and it should attach to your reply.

I don't see Upload attachment section or Browse option at all. I see the following:

Options:
BBCode is ON
[img] is ON
[flash] is OFF
[url] is ON
Smilies are ON

Disable BBCode
Disable smilies
Do not automatically parse URLs
Attach a signature (signatures can be altered via the UCP)
Notify me when a reply is posted

But nothing regardng uploading attachments or Browse Should I turn something on or off to see upload or browse?

It should be right below that, below the submit buttons. You could also use Imageshack or TinyPic

Nope, jumps right from Cancel Preview Submit
to Topic review - Blocker.swf

I've pasted a few screen prints into a Word document, but have no way to send it.

Maybe e-mail?

Would still have trouble attaching it if there isn't an attachment feature, wouldn't I?

the quick reply feature doesn't have the attachment feature. you must go to the full editor. once you get to the full editor, scroll down a little. there's a bar that says, "Upload attachment". next to "filename" you click "browse", point to the file you wanna upload, and then click "add the file". you can also choose to add a file comment. that's all I can really say to help you, if you can't find it.... look harder.

btw, you're only allowed to upload certain file types. so either zip the file, or save it as a jpeg image through MS Paint. (start > all programs > accessories > paint)

AFAIK, the "Newly Registered Users" group does not have permissions to add attachments. I'm not sure at what point they become standard "Registered Users". A forum admin should be able to verify that.

Kudos, you are correct but it never should have been like that. It's fixed now.

dwr2, you should be able to upload files now.

I tried attaching in Word and PPT fies, but got the messages "The extension docx is not allowed. " and "The extension pptx is not allowed."

I don't have any of the other programs suggested.

Since the attachments don't work, I can either e-mail or fax them to you. Just let me know where to send them.

As a note, I opened Facebook/Farmville in IE 8 and did not have any blocker.swf popups. As soon as I opened Avant, nothing else, the popups started.

I also tried Imageshack and TinyPic and couldn't figure out how to transfer a print screen to a JPG or other similar type file. How about PDF?

Other suggestions?

screenshots should be images. like I said, try saving it as a jpeg using Paint. just press "Prnt Scrn" go to start > all prorgrams > asseccories > paint. press ctrl - v to paste the image into paint. the go to file > save as, name it and change it to jpeg.

or if you're workin in Avant/Orca, do it the easy way and go to file > save screen as image. (unless of course there is a dialogue preventing you)

ppt/docx/pdf aren't image files, even though they contain images inside them. you can always add a file to a zip file, which is a standard compression file which contains the ppt/docx/pdf, just like those files contain the image. I don't recommend this method though, just attach the file was a standard image extension. (jpeg/gif/png)

so please get the image attached and get back on topic please.

Excellent guidance. I didn't realize I had paint.
I had another file but it was too large, so this is a smaller example of popups.
The larger example had 28!
Thanks to everyone who tried to help; hopefully this will help to resolve the problem.

Do you experience the problem on this site http://www.farmville.com/? Are you using xp sp3 and ie8?

Please provide the following information before reporting problems:
Avant Version; System(also point out it is a 32 or 64-bit OS);IE; Memory Size; CPU Speed;
Optional: Firewall; Graphics Card

For the problems hard to replay, could you add me into your MSN or Skype list if you use either of them? The advantage is that you can let us know the situation in the first place by making some screenshots, sharing your screen or explaining the specific problems more clearly when they happen.
