Avant making a sound while scrolling

Post by .223 » Sun Jun 01, 2008 8:06 am

Yes, that is pretty much it, it makes the faintest of sounds while scrolling with the mousewheel. I've turned of all sound, it was gone. I raised the volume to insane hights, and it was very clearly there?

Is it a bug or is it a feature? I can't explain how it sounds...pretty highpitched, in my oppinion, like letting the air out of a ballon making a hissing noise, heard from a distance.

Hi

Believe it or not, this is a problem with your mouse, not with Avant.

Open internet explorer, or windows explorer with a page full of icons and scroll - it will be the same.

The reason for this is because of interference between mouse signals and your audio channel, often transmitted when ports are close together. move your mouse to the furthest point away from your sound ports and you might find it'll go away - i never got rid of the faint "krrk"

Hope this helps save your sanity : )
