Hi all,

I love using Avant but at the moment it is so unstable I have had to revert back to using IE on its own.

My PC is running Win XP SP2 (all patches) and IE6

The crash I am getting is this

There is no pattern to it although it does seem to take a little time to happen.

I only get this in Avant

I have tried a Google (web and news groups) and searched these forums and although there are similar posts there does not seem to be any definitive answer.

Hope someone can help.

:( I, too, am getting this awful problem. After the error message referenced above appears, I've tried 2 things: 1) Clicking one of the error message options, but then Avant immediately shuts down. 2) I've tried just moving the error message box out of the way, but sooner or later, Avant just shuts down.

I'm running a 1ghz celeron processor, win xp sp2.

B4 I installed the latest version of avant, I never had any problems, so should I put the old version back on? Hopefully, there is a better solution.

Oh well.... I have had to stop using Avant cause of this issue.... I would have hoped to a have receved some kind of support on here especialy as others are having the same issue....

I am no expert & am just an Avant user but have you tried uninstalling it & then reinstalling.
I use the latest version with no problems but @ one time when i had periods of prolonged CPU high level i went back to version 10.2.52 with no problems.hope you sort it

We are all users here. As you saw, when someone has an idea they will post it. You might try renaming avant.exe to iexplore.exe (in the program folder). That has solved some conflicts in the past.

The other optio is to go back to a version that worked for you and hope that the next incarnation of Avant solves the problem. Older versions can be fount at: http://avant.it-mate.co.uk/default.asp? ... nt_Browser

I have long time problem with webdialog login box. Every time, I try login and browser hang up. I have to terminate from task manager. It is too often, I started using IE 7. I want this to be fixed.

:D :D OK, so I've fixed my problem! I was running Google toolbar in Avant. I disabled it, and voila. Please noone tell me that this has been covered already in another thread, but when I searched before, couldn't find the answer. However, Avant Options does plainly state that using other plug-ins can cause problems.
