Can you give a little more detail in your description. If it can't open, how is it going to close?

Thanks for your reply,

After installing any 11.version of avant tha splash screen will appear and after that it will close the program. No matter if I'm log in in any service...like google for example....it won't aload to do anything. I can't provide much details because I havn't seen anything else happening with the program.

Thanks

It seems evident that Avant does not provide any support for their browser. I sent a message to the developer about the problem and the reply was to watch your problem in the forum.

If you were never able to run Avant Browser 11 properly,Please uninstall Avant Browser and delete the Avant Profiles folder (NOT the Avant Browser folder) under c:/documents and settings/YourUserName/application data and try to re-install Avant Browser.

"Avant" is not a company, nor comprises multiple persons. There's only one person - Anderson (Avant's author).

The support provided here is done so by volunteers that just so happen to be Avant users like yourself.

I agree with Terry O'Hara. If you don't count the 97,000+ posts here on this forum, there's practically no support at all for Avant.

The originator of this msg and I both have the same problem with the AB and we have received two responses (one each) with solutions neither of which worked. Seeing as how there was so little reoponse in spite of nearly 400 visits, I attempted to contact the developer with the reply above stated. WE also received 6 flames from others who have no ideas at all. This shows that there are three times as many blowhards as real volunteers.

Can you show/tell us where the flames come from? (I will not permit this type of behaviour on this forum).

I see only one suggestion toward solution and no response from either of you as to whether or not it helped. We can't help you with out feedback. Did you try what abfan suggested?

First, Terry O'Hara, which issue do you have? Your thread here doesn't describe the same problem that the original poster described. As a matter of fact, the crux of their issue seems to revolve around the splash screen, which you state in your post that you're not even getting.

Secondly, your first post in this thread came directly after my post asking for for more details and you provided absolutely none. As my post was ignored, I see you haven't responded to abfan's suggestion, either. With no details, how is anyone going to help?

...and finally, your second post in this thread was simply rude and dismissive of all of the help that has been given at this forum. Noticing your use of "We", I'd like to narrow Mystery's request above... I'd be interested in seeing anything that could be even closely considered a "flame" directed at the original poster and not you. I personally don't see anything that has reached that level, but feel free to PM Mystery or me if you feel we're missing them.

As for continuing this thread, let's try to concentrate more on the details of the problem from now on.
