'Add On Buttons' Bar, How Do You Use It?

Post by fullbug » Sat Sep 23, 2006 2:35 pm

When I go into the toolbar and click on the Add-On Buttons bar it appears under my links bar, but how do you add buttons to the bar? And what kind of buttons can you use in the bar? I cant seem to do anything with it....
Could you put shortcuts in the bar, like a shortcut to 'C' drive? (I doubt that)

Hello,
There are 3 types of buttons
IE Buttons-Buttons that are appearing in Internet Explorer
Script Buttons-You can add your own JavaScript buttons to,For example add some function
Command Buttons-Usually used to add some shortcut to some application.
Just go to Tools>Avant Browser Options...>Add-ons
IE8(Pro), Microsoft Security Essentials
Main PC:

Secondary PC same as primary but with Windows 7 x64 Ultimate as the OS.

Anything labeled as "IE Button" under Tools>Avant Browser Options>Add-ons section is able to be added to this bar.
As of the command button,Let me try to provide an example:
Go to Tools>Avant Browser Options...>Add-ons>Add-ons and click Add.
Define some name and select some icon to this button.
Select "Command button" and type,For example to call calculator,Type the following:

Code: Select all

%SystemRoot%\system32\calc.exe
As of the script buttons:
Do the same but select "Script button" instead and write some JavaScript command.
Example:

Code: Select all

alert (location.href);
This will display the current page's URL.
There's also "Auto-Execute scripts".
They're same as script buttons but they're auto-executed when a web page is finished loading.

If you enter the code, you should put it into parenthesis. For example:

"C:\Program Files\AB Edit\AB Edit.exe"

Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E7400 @ 2.80GHz; 4GB RAM; Nvidia GeForce 8600GT w. 280.26 driver
Windows 7 Professional 32-Bit SP1 (all patches)
Avant: V2011 b30 - (IE Favorites - No On-Line Storage)
IE V9.0.8112.16421-Upd 9.0.2; Java: 1.7.0.147; Flash: V10.3.183.5
Windows Security Essentials V2.1.1116.0

I guess a shortcut is required to link a folder with a command button right?
Thanks Anderson for checking out my AB 11.0 feature request list,
