States of buttons

Ok, I looked everywhere, but how can I know when my icon is going to be how I made it using the abskin thing. When I make a custom skin, I go to test it, and everything is find until the Back and Forward buttons are no longer disabled. They just get really bright and ugly, but I can't find how to specify what images are for disabled, pushing down etc.
Pretty sure I've got latest version..

The disabled icons will be as the normal icons but the browser will remove colour - load the new skin into Avant/Orca and you will see.

The first is the icon I select to put in, the second is what shows up in the skin-maker, third is how it show up on orca (when disabled), and last is how it ends up when enabled in orca.
Obviously the last one is the one I hope to change.

Maybe something wrong with your original image - can you post it too.

Sorry, could not find where to edit my post, but I'm really confused now. :(
I replaced the back button with a refresh button:

??? I've tried a long time to get the back button working, and I have no clue why it does that.

Yes, I got the same problem with your image. But I fixed it by:

- changing it to a bitmap
or
- changing the colour depth to 24 bit

I would change to 24bit BMP, but then I wouldn't get transparency? Can I not put transparency on the Forward/Back arrows?

He didn't say a 24 bit bitmap although it can be a 24 bit bitmap. He said either a 24 bit PNG or a bitmap.

The problem seems to be with using 8bit (256 colour) png images
Your original file was only 8 bit with no transparency..

Well.. I couldn't seem to get 24bit pngs to work, as they didn't show up with any transparency. bmp don't have transparency.. but I finally get the buttons working as 32bit.
Thanks for the help. It's not an amazing skin, but I'll post it when I'm done.
