For some reason, flash (YouTube) videos quiting showing

I have been using Orca for a long time. I keep on the look out for an update, because I see signs one might be increasingly needed. It seems to go haywire occasionally.

The latest problem is that I can't see flash videos on blogs or on YouTube. Had this problem before; the solution was to thoroughly "Clear All Records," but that doesn't work now.

Orca was always my favorite, just loved it. It's a well thought out browser. Very user friendly. I don't want to see Orca lose its edge and hope it will be updated. If they do, I sure hope they don't incorporate Avants tab bar notice buttons ("Close" or "Re-open"), which personally I find to be a nuisance.

Off-topic, but one thing I love about Orca and Avant is that you can't close the last web page, but the browser will remain open. I refuse to use Chrome until it has the same ability.

I just discovered something strange. When I go to Tools, Clear Records and then press "Clear All Records" at the bottom, the problem remained.

BUT when I go to Tools, then "Orac Browser Options..." at the bottom of the menu, and Clear All Records from INSIDE Orca's BROWSER OPTIONS, it was more effective and the problem cleared up. Wonder what the difference would be.

Strange that (i) you experience the problem at all (ii) the clear records feature is required to fix it (iii) the clear all records options work differently.

When Avant gets its new GUI soon (codenamed v2011) then Orca will inherit the new codebase too. Maybe Anderson will surprise us with an update sooner..
