DO NOT install the Roboform extension. I had to uninstall both Orca and Robo to get everything back to normal.

So what extensions are you using?

Yea I appoligize for not disclosing that earlier.. There is an incompatibility between Orca and Roboform that can only be fixed by the author of Roboform him/her self. But, its still be investigated by Anderson.

There are a few extensions that do work so far that I know of. They are
"Stylish", "Download Sidebar", "Google Preview", and "Cool Previews".

There are a few that work partially are: "Better Gmail 2" and "Firebug".

The ones so far that do not work at all are: "Location Bar" and "Datalens".

Please help us in finding what extensions do and do not work.

Thanks!

OK tried Datalens and it too is a no go. This re-install sux, not loading any more extensions till the Beta comes out.

I can't get PageZoom 0.4.0 to install. It is listed under
Tools>Mozilla Addons>extensions, but it is not listed
under Tools>Orca Browser Options>Addons.

Perhaps I am missing a step.

The Mozilla add-on for PageZoom can be found here:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1499

It also does not support CCleaner program..............I probably will not use it until it supports both RoboForm and Ccleaner.

@Pip - ccleaner will work with a lot of browsers that are not named firefox or ie. You do have to get into it to show it where you want it customized:

At the bottom of the "windows" list in ccleaner
check "custom files and folders"
Then go to "options" followed by "include" and browse to
C:\Documents and Settings\"yourname"\Application Data\OrcaBrowser\Profiles\Cache

Basically you can "include" several elements of diverse browsers using Ccleaner.

So I guess pretty much any extension that modifies the ui in some way won't work in Orca. I tried CS Lite but its icon doesn't seem to show anywhere.

Ok alittle update.

Firebug and Better Gmail 2 do work. If you have had any previous build of Orca 1.1 installed before Alpha 4 you should delete everything in your Orca profiles folder (in Application Data for XP or Appdata for Vista) except for bookmarks and conf. Then try installing extensions before you report it doesn't work.

This will not fix the problem of changing the UI but does help some extensions. If anyone is interested, the only way to use Firebug is by using the right-click menus "Inspect" option.

If you use Better Gmail 2 just for the skins. Then I had more luck using Stylish to change the skin of Gmail.

The Mozilla extensions are going to be hit or miss for a while I would think. But, on a lark, I installed cooliris - It works very well.

Went through the official list and tried some not on the official list. Whenever an extension needs to modify the interface (by that I mean the various toolbars) for it to work completely, Orca will not allow such a modification or interaction. The interface is part of the executable that the programmer has created. This is one of the reasons Orca is speedier than Firefox though they are both using the same chromes. In any evernt for an Alpha, the openess to incoroporate some of these extensions is very admirable.

If you wouldn't mind, could you post or PM me which extensions you've tried and what the outcome was to help populate the offical extensions thread?

So so so happy that the worlds greatest download manager now works with the worlds greatest browser.

Confirming DownThemAll working with Orca 1.1 build 4
(works in context menu and works in download manager)

Also FastDial works (i think its a crappier verison of SpeedDial) ( you have to go to about:blank to see this )

Managed to get IE Tab at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1419 working in Orca. It won't modify the interface so its full functionality does not have the ease of use as in Firefox. Nonetheless, if you designate certain pages (like Windows Update) to use the IE tab, you can go to Windows Update in ORCA and it will function the same as if you were using a Trident based browser.
