Orca won't open up ANYTHING even after reinstalls

I can't figure out why Orca won't open up any web page at all. I uninstall it and even wait three weeks, then install again and same problem. It won't go anywhere at all. Thank you for any help you can offer!

Does avant open earlier versions i heard that orca is not being supported no new updates perhapps that is why

I think it's been the case for a long time that Orca will not be updated, but it still always opened, so not sure what you mean, Axeman. Thanks for responding.

Have you checked you firewall and anti-virus software to make sure that they didn't block the process of orca browser?

Yes, I only have Zone Alarm and am very familiar with it and know it is not blocking Orca.

Why not using the NEW orca?
Just in case,you should disable your firewall and antivirus software and then run orca browser.
Had you installed any add-on before this problem happened to you?

you should disable firewalls to check first. last experience can't guarantee no block for ever since firewalls keep updating as well.
you'd better also disable all plugins to check whether orca works then:
type about:config into the address bar and press enter, search plugin.expose_full_path and switch its value from false to true.
type about:plugins into the address bar and disable all plugins(rename all files).
relaunch orca.

What new Orca? I'm using the last one they produced far as I know.

I shut down my firewall Zone Alarm and it made no difference. Orca was still totally dead, would open up nothing. Yes, I tried disabling every add on and that made no difference. Thank you for your response!

I believe Julien90 ment the 2012 ultiment versions have both mozilla and avant

Thank you, AXEMAN. Yes, I have the latest, up to date Avant on my system, but for some reason Orca seems to run a little smoother. In opening up a site, Avant frequently gyrates and goes through fits and starts, whereas Orca will open web pages more calmly and seamlessly. I had a love affair with Orca and it's hard to turn loose of it totally now, especially when it is still so clearly offered for download at the Avant site.

BUT I FOUND THE ANSWER TO MY PROBLEM thanks to you guys. I installed Orca again and went down one by one disablying the add-ons, and discovered that Tabs Mix Plus 0.3.8.7 was the problem. Disabled it and Orca opens sites up fine now just like before.

BTW, I commented earlier in the thread that I had tried disabling every add-on and it made no difference, then said in my last post that Tabs Mix Plus was the problem. I had skipped that one before, figuring that surely Tabs Mix Plus would not be the problem, but it was.
