Greetings,

Every time I start Orca, a new tab -helper appears full with Google links. I know it's for generating income but I was wondering if there is a way to disable it on startup. Thanks

What is the URL of the page? Maybe it is caused by a plugin or extension that you have installed. The only pages that should load at start are listed at: Tools >> Orca Browser Options... >> Home Page

Thanks for such a quick response. The url I get is http://-helper/. It happens every time I start Orca

Update. -helper then switches to http://www.google.com/search?q=%2Dhelper

Very odd - can you post a screenshot?
Does the page open up in other browsers?
What is listed in the home page options?
What is listed in: Tools >> Add-ons >> Extensions and Plugins

The tab opens in Orca only. I have blank as my home page. No extensions are listed in Add-ons and the following plug-ins:

Adobe Acrobat
DivX Player
DivX Webplayer
ITunes Applications Detector
Java Platform
Microsoft DRM
Mozilla Default Plug-In
QuickTime Plug-in
Shockwave Flash
Shockwave for Director
Silverlight Plug-in
VLC Multimedia Plug-in
Windows Media Player Plug-in
Windows Presentation

Thanks for the info. I suspect that it may be caused by the shortcut that you use to start the program. Can you try starting Orca by double clicking on orca.exe in its installed folder rather than by using the shortcut - by default it is located at C:\Program Files\Orca Browser\orca.exe

You are absolutely right! The -helper tab is gone now when I created a new shortcut from the installed folder (I used a different path to install). Appreciate your help, thanks a lot.
