Quicktime plugin

Post by SuicideUZI » Sat Jun 20, 2009 5:42 am

I use Quicktime Alternative instead of the official Quicktime, but with Orca browser quicktime videos from apple.com will not play at all. When I click on the links it either does nothing or it says get latest version of quicktime. When using avant browser it plays them without a problem

QuickTime Alternative (or QT Lite as it is now known as) installs the Mozilla plugins by default to:

"c:\Program Files\QT Lite\Plugins\"

Copy the files to Orca's plugin folder ie:

"c:\Program Files\Orca Browser\Plugins\"

The files are:

npqtplugin.dll
npqtplugin2.dll
npqtplugin3.dll
npqtplugin4.dll
npqtplugin5.dll
nsIQTScriptablePlugin.xpt
QuickTimePlugin.class

Amend your paths if you have installed your programs elsewhere.

Once done, restart Orca, the plugins should show up at Tools >> Add-ons >> Plugins
