Hallo,
I'm using Orca 1.2 build 6 portable, but it's impossible importing my FF bookmarks. Clicking "File/Import/Firefox bookmarks" and selecting the file placed on desktop the import assistant freezes! The same by Opera bookmarks. The Bookmark file is o.k., I can read it in Orca by rightclick/open with. It was imported in Opera 11 portable and Chrome/Iron portable without problems, so what's the matter?

I donot know but save the data to a cd or external hard dive . Then add them your self where you want them to go and then you always have that cd and can add to it anytime you want. :)

Can you post the exported file you're trying to import?

Check where you are running Orca from and make sure that you have write permissions in that folder.
The portable version stores its bookmarks file in: <Orca Folder>\.default\bookmarks\bookmarks.dat
If you do not have the ability to write there then Orca will fail to import bookmarks, settings, etc.

Hallo Kudos, thx! But I don't have this structure. In "Orca" folder I've this:
orca1.jpg

by opening "defaults" I've this one:

orca2.jpg

(in "autoconfig" and "pref" there're only js-files) and by opening "profiles" I can found this:

orca3.jpg

Nowhere a folder "bookmarks" or a bookmark.dat file!? The one bookmark.html seems was created from my IE starting Orca the first time, the other was copied manually in this folder (it's the bookmark file exported from FF). What's wrong?
orca1.jpg
orca2.jpg
orca3.jpg

If you do not have a folder named .default (with a dot at the start) then you are not running the portable version of Orca. To find out where your bookmarks are stored, type "%appdata%" into the Windows Run box. There you will find a folder named "Orca Profiles". Inside that you will find a folder named .default containing your settings. Close Orca and copy that folder to Orca's folder to make a portable version.

Also, as bigC suggested: "Can you post the exported file you're trying to import?" - or PM it to one of us.

Hallo Kudos, thx for the answer. I've found the .default folder/copied to orca, but's the same (no Import, Assistant freezes). I'll try a new FF bookmarks export, because I'm not so lucky to post my private bookmarks? Is there any possibility importing manually? BTW: I've downloaded the Orca Browser USB Version from Your site and unzipped, why it isn't portable?
