I get an annoying sound whenever I check something or click on a setting in the Orca settings menu. I can't for my life find where to find this, doesn't work to deactivate sounds.

In the Windows Control Panel, have you assigned additional sounds for things like menu items? Try selecting the Windows default sound scheme.

I have the no sounds scheme selected and hear no sounds from any other applications like that.

Hmm, odd. Try to select and apply another scheme then go back to the no sounds one.

Is it possible for you to test Avant Browser and let us know if that has the sounds too?

Avant did not present any sounds. I did not have the sounds previously in Orca. Then I installed Orca on another system (Vista Ultimate) but did not change any settings and suddenly got sounds then. When I returned to this system and synchronized the sounds appeared here as well so I think it is something in Online Storage.

Is there a definite action that produces the sounds?
Is it always the same sound?
Can you provide steps to reproduce it.
It's not the blocker sound is it? Tools >> Orca Browser Options... >> Browsing Options >> Play the following sound when blocking...

Its not the blocking sound. It's an intermittent problem though, does not always appear but haven't been able to distinguish under which circumstances it appears. It is whenever I click a category in settings or an alternative in a setting category. Nowhere else in Orca or in any other program.

just download msn messenger the sounds come with it. just to see if you get correct sounds. Then you will know if the sounds are correct. You don't want to mess with windows sound it could take all sound away PS look up your sound driver or's :)
