Since installing the latest version last night, I've had four crashes. No useful info unfortunately. Windows 7 ultimate, 64 bit, all browsers are updated

Do you still get crashes?

Intermittently, yes. Seem to be most common on sites where video is involved, but the rendering engine doesn't seem to be all that important. I've seen it happen with both trident and webkit. No particular web sites, just those with media or heavy scripting. More so video than anything else.

Seems to occur more frequently with webkit engine. However sometimes if you're patient, it will recover.

Under the following folder, there should be a few dmp files, which recorded the crash report for Chrome Engine. Can you send those files to me?

email: author avantbrowser.com

Thanks.

C:\Users\[Your User Name]\AppData\Local\Chromium\User Data\Crashpad\reports

There's a new one already? I haven't even upgraded yet. OK I will do so now. Thank you!

New version installed and testing. Took over 4 hours to download. For some reason the server, as well as this forum, are painfully slow today. I will report asap. So far so good though. But it's been less than an hour

Definitely fewer crashes than the last version. Those are the only two I've had since installing the latest.

Do you know what is changed in the new version to make it crash less? To me it seems to be the same. My AB crashes on average 20 times a day.

It seems most of my crashes were involving the webkit engine, and on pages that were heavily scripted and/or contained videos. How about yours? Notice any patterns?

No patterns in particular. I notice it crashes more with more opened tabs; and it crashes less if I only have one or two tabs. But someone told me they are not related. Go figure...

I would say they're probably related. The more tabs open the more resource the program uses. More resource equals higher likelihood of crashing.

Still getting crashes with the webkit engine. whichever tab is using that engine often crashes by itself, and if there are more than one tab open using webkit, the program itself will crash. Unfortunately, that's also the engine that uses the least amount of resource on my machine. Gecko has my processor pulling extra duty for some reason. You can actually hear it and see it in task manager.

This one involves Flash. Just gecko and trident in use at the time, but the tabs that crashed were trident.
