Avast Reports "Win32:Adware-BBZ[Adw]" Legit?

Post by Mr_Bass-Singer » Tue Sep 24, 2013 12:59 am

My Avast Antivirus recently updated and when I went to open Avant I got "Threat has been detected" and it automatically removed the avant.exe file to it's Virus Chest. It reports that avant.exe has Win32:Adware-BBZ[Adw] with a High Threat Level! :wtf:

Is this a False Positive?? I've scanned earlier downloads and it also reports the same infection. I have been using the Ultimate Versions, if that helps. Avant has been working fine until the recent update of Avast. Thanks!

Same here!
Avast Antivirus says "Win32:Adware-BBZ (Adw)"

I scanned the installation files of Avant 2013 Ultimate Build 113 - 117, it's always the same threat!

Same thing for me.

Certainly the new basis of avast I guess!

Besides Avast reacts constantly to several things without stop since the last update...

Bye

In the AVAST-Configuration I've activated the AVANT-Files for not beeing scanned ("Global Exceptions"). I was forced to reinstall AVANT again anyways, but now I got rid of the false alert.
Sorry for my Spaghetti-English...
