Critical XULRunner bug with Avant Ult 2012 build 181

A few minutes ago I took the route for automatic upgrade from Avant 2012 Ultimate build 179 (Firefox rendering mode) to build 181, normally uneventful but far from it this time!

As soon as I tried to load Avant, while all the tabs were opening I kept getting the following dialog box opening time and time again:

maxVersion <= 15.0

My guess is that this has something to do with Firefox 15.0 (which I've upgraded to, separately from Avant Browser). Apart from that I'm at a loss to explain it.

This is a 'showstopper" for me. I have been forced to re-install Avant 2012 Ultimate build 179 to be able to do any work... Something is seriously wrong with build 181.

IT should work i have found useing windows 7 64 bit That useing automatic upgrade screws up avant 75 percent of the time. Each time i update i uninstall avant completley and then install the new version .This has been my experience.I have recomened this to some friends and it fixed them up as it did for me . And when i say uninstall after removeing it by add and remove oh back up your bookmarks .But then after removeing avant use CCleaner scan registery for errors and you will see avant what ever i just fix everything and it works PS This is something to try as i said it worked for me and a few friends as said i do this with every upgrade.

There are several similar threads on the Avant forums regarding this problem. Usually, reinstalling the current version of Avant fixes it. If that doesn't work, uninstall Avant, and then reinstall it.

Thanks, Mike, that did the trick, no more XULRunner error messages.

My fail (terrible use of the English language). I somehow missed finding the reference in other threads, trying to do too many things at once I suppose. Have been watching a TV series about The Mind, concerning our highly fallible memory, trickery, and the like. One segment was about how we greatly overrate our ability to multitask, and that basically we all can really only do one thing at a time well.
