Avant change itself entered site address

When I write down url address : [url]http://www.chip.pl,[/url] Avant Browser change itself. In address field appears: http://m.chip.pl/on all rendering engines. Other browsers (e.g. Firefox, Chrome) displays this site rights.
What would be reason of it and how can I correct?

Confirmed. chrome and firefox don't have this problem, IE has the same problem

I check Avant Browser 2012 b171 ultimate (Firefox) and error still present.

I didn't see this problem in the changelog, so it hasn't be fixed in this version.

Feedback from the developer: It can't be fixed as the site decides whether jumps to other url according to the information got from the user agent string.

It isn`t site`s error. Older versions of Avant Browser displays this site well. Problem starts from AB 2012 b 169, in addition Firefox v 12.0 opens this site correctly but Avant Browser (Firefox engine) not.

I just tried it with the Firefox engine in Avant 171. When I enter http://www.chip.pl, I get a server not found error. Avant does not change http://www.chip.pl, to http://m.chip.pl/. The error says, "Firefox can't find the server at http://www.chip.pl,. If I manually enter http://m.chip.pl/ the site loads correctly.

When I try to load http://www.chip.pl, in Firefox 12 (the full browser, not in Avant), I get the same server not found error I get in Avant. In Firefox, if I manually enter http://m.chip.pl/ the site loads correctly, as it does in Avant.

In other words, I get exactly the same behavior in Firefox 12 as I do in Avant 171 using the Firefox engine, which indicates that Avant is not causing a problem. Note that I am in the US, and this might have some effect on whether European sites load the same way as they do elsewhere.

You can see Avant Browser displays wrong but Firefox (also Chrome, Opera etc.) not.

I figured out what caused the server not found errors. I copied the link from your original (first) post in this thread without taking a close look at it. This is the link: [url]http://www.chip.pl,[/url] Notice that it includes a comma at the end that is included in the link. That was the cause of the server not found errors in both Avant and Firefox. Also, now that I know what the page looks like when it loads correctly, I can see that the page at http://m.chip.pl/ is not the correct page. I apologize for the confusion.

I did some additional checking and found that the URL is changed in Avant build 171 (using any of the rendering engines), but it does not change in Firefox 12. However, the URL does change in IE8 (the full browser), so this problem exists in both Avant and IE8.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:10.0.2) Gecko/20120219 Firefox/10.0.2
In avant browser 2012 build 171:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:12.0) Gecko/20120515 Firefox/12.0 AvantBrowser/Tri-Core

The site must take avant browser 2012 build 28 as firefox so it doesn't redirect to http://m.chip.pl/
If you can provide the e-mail of the site,maybe we can try to contact them and see whether they can allow avant browser not to redirect.

When I open http://www.mbank.pl Avant Browser (2012 b193 ult - Firefox) self-actively change on http://lajt.mbank.pl/. It`s definitely cause of Avant because, when I open it in Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome all was right. Something must be in Avant Browser that websites changes addresses on mobile version.

The redirection should be attributed to the site itself which only recognizes firefox and chrome according to the user agent string.

Why Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome not self-changed (redirected) link address. How can I improve it?

I checked two more browsers and they worked quite well. First was Opera v.12.12, second was Comodo Dragon v.23 (Chrome based but not very popular). That means - the reason is Avant Browser.

Perhaps they thought Avant is a mobile browser..
