Annoyance on Betanews.com
There's a popup on BetaNews.com that i can't close, the only way i discovered was to close the tab and re-open.
(also, i have to login everytime i visit the forum but that's another issue).

Re: Annoyance on Betanews.com
Can you tell me the detailed steps to make the pop-up page show?
I clicked some links in this website, but didn't see any pop-up page.

Re: Annoyance on Betanews.com
Detailed steps you ask?
Not complicated. Just typed in www.betanews.com
Just now i tried and it didn't show up. Would they have removed it?
I've noticed it a few times before and it wasn't until recently that i discovered that by simply closing the tab and starting over did the trick.
Really not a big drama here. But if it doesn't happen to you, then I'm short for words.

Doesn't the pop up page have a close button? You can make a screenshot if you encounter it next time.

Here's one.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us
There's no "x" to close the ad (you notice the webpage is in the shadow)
http://betanews.com/2012/03/15/get-xara ... buy-hurry/
Was not intentional but the special is pretty good!

What version do you use?

Please provide the following information before reporting problems:
Avant Version; System(also point out it is a 32 or 64-bit OS);IE; Memory Size; CPU Speed;
Optional: Firewall; Graphics Card
For the problems hard to replay, could you add me into your MSN or Skype list if you use either of them? The advantage is that you can let us know the situation in the first place by making some screenshots, sharing your screen or explaining the specific problems more clearly when they happen.

Re: Annoyance on Betanews.com
Using Ultimate 2012 128.
Perhaps like Nikata said, it goes off after a few seconds (or a while?).
The ad doesn't show up when clicking into the same page again.
Anyway, it's only Betanews.
