Not a bug: memory consumption reduced

Post by mbrazil » Tue Jan 10, 2012 1:40 am

I've been noticing that, using the firefox engine, the total amount of memory consumed by the three processes involved (firefox.exe, avant.exe, and plugin-container.exe) is considerably less in recent builds. I'm currently running build 18, but I think this improvement started a build or two earlier. I'm assuming that the difference is mostly attributable to recent updates to the firefox engine, but in any case, it's definitely a positive change.

I'm only mentioning this here because I'm pleased to see the improvement, and it is beta-related in a way.
