Re: URL box/custom javascript
Correct. But I dont think that it's the code's fault, because I found out that it does the same thing regardless of whether or not I have the exception code running. So what this leads me to believe is that I dont know how to get the exception code to work in the first place.

Re: URL box/custom javascript
Maybe you've not disabled the previous script?

Re: URL box/custom javascript
The previous script isnt supposed to be disabled, the current script that we're talking about should cause the other script to recognize exception sites to disable the script on.

Re: URL box/custom javascript
Well, I'm a bit confused now.

Please go to Tools>Avant Browser Options...>Add-ons>Add-ons.
What do you have checked there?

Only 1 auto execute script should be checked.

Re: URL box/custom javascript
I've got only one of them checked right now, the Blackify script, but the exception script isnt running automatically. That's a problem, because I want both of them to work together to recognize the exception sites. Are you saying that Avant Browser isnt capable of doing multiple auto-execute scripts?

I think you're confused as to how sulpherdragon's script works. It is meant to be a complete replacement for the original blackify script.

Re: URL box/custom javascript
The exceptionlist is inside the Blackify plugin. If you go into Avant Options>Addons and select Blackify. Then click Edit, you can see inside it that there is some text like this:
exceptionSite[0]="avant"
exceptionSite[1]="google"
exceptionSite[2]="wikipedia.org"
...
This is where you type in your exceptions. Its possible to put it in a seperate plugin but theres no way to force one plugin to run before another. Hope this helps.

I understand now, your code works perfectly. I've said it before, but thanks to everyone who made my internet browsing experience infinitely better. Now, I can surf the web with the light off without feeling as if I was staring into a lightbulb.
