hi, isit possible to write a script that crawls thru the page's contents and send an alert once a change is detected (using auto refresh of pg every 10s)?

You'd be much better off using a dedicated program for doing that ....

however the pg im accessing needs multiple authentication, and its an asp pg, ve tried out internetowl, doesnt seem to work...tt's y i need a javascript tt's able to crawl thru the page contents usin avant...

Actually,Such feature is available in Avant Browser.
Tab become "underlined" once a page is updated.
IE8(Pro), Microsoft Security Essentials
Main PC:
Image
Secondary PC same as primary but with Windows 7 x64 Ultimate as the OS.

tab? if a new link appears, will it show? need to set anything in preferences to be able to see this or just set auto refresh will do?

Tools>Tab Options>Show Underline for Unread Tabs.

then is it possible to alert a sound when sth is changed? (as one cant possibly sit in front of the pc the whole day) cos this is only available for script settings..
