I can't download these skins because I don't have a default program that will allow me to download an extension (.skn )can someone help me resolve this issue. Windows does not recognize this type of extension so it says. "Maybe I will research this on my own but if someone out there can help me I will appreciate any help someone can provide.

Download (but don't "run") the .skn file to the folder called Program Files\Avant Browser\Skins

Once the downloaded file is in that location, AB should be able to see it (that is, you'll see the skin listed under Tools \ Skins).
