Axeman.. 100x100 is plenty. We have a bigger limit then some bigger sites. You can resize your avatar and it wont look that bad.

I'm not an expert in this industry, But I can see a quite big difference between 1080p & DVI. (In fact, I'm comparing a LCD TV screen while watching some HD channel or HD DVD & my computer's screen which is connected through DVI.)
My computer's screen is just 19'' while the TV screen is a little bigger - 37''. But again, I'm not an expert.
Maybe I should buy some 22'' 1080p monitor with some HD 1GB display adapter because they're quite cheap nowadays, But I don't really need this right now. My current screens are quite enough for me.

Besides, wouldn't it be harder on the server if the avatars were bigger? It's already holding a forum with over 22,000 members and 132,000 posts.

Hardly, but tiny numbers do add up. There never seems to be more than 10 users online. (including the search engine bots)

Axeman, I'm curious - what sizes would you like for your avatar and signature? We haven't asked yet.
Your avatar is 80x80px - as stated you could increase that by 25% to 100x100px without a problem.

AXEMAN, here is your avatar resized to 100x100px. If you have a larger image I could resize that for you too.

That's odd - I have no problem changing my avatar to 100x100px.

I would but you can't test other user's UCP permissions and there are no avatar limitations permission wise except maybe totally disabling avatar changing.

I guess that there were no problems Doc. Maybe a strange forum bug. The next release of phpBB (v3.0.5) is imminent so maybe that may clear things up. Now say thank you AXEMAN and lets play nice again.
