A Porn site Url was posted today in the help forum. Is not that a violation of forum rules?. Should poster be sent information regarding this via PM?.

GENERAL FORUM COMMANDMENT - No posting of spam, adult material, cracks or serial sites. Doing so will cause deletion of same and banishment of the Poster. Remember: If you think something might be against the rules, it probably is!
Technically, yes. But if a problem occurs only on such a site, and brings to light a problem with the browser that needs to be resolved then shouldn't it be reported? (Note - I am not staff here so this is my own personal opinion)

Maybe just sending him a PM with warning would be enough?
I've asked him to post the URL after all.

When I've realized that it's a porn website, I've disabled pictures and refreshed the page just to check where is the Shockwave object.
Well, I couldn't find any Shockwave object there. Maybe he's confusing Flash with Shockwave. I don't know....

If ShockWave is Flash then Flash is Silverlight :lol:
In fact, Shockwave and Flash are 2 different things from the same company... (And Silverlight is a similar product from Microsoft)

Err no, there's Shockwave Flash and Macromedia Flash (both are generally commonly known as simply "Flash")

For reference;

Shockwave player plays back movies made from Director, and Flash player from Flash.

Anyway, this is now off-topic and is better suited in the general discussion forum (see the nice rule at the top of this forum).

Go back around 10 years or so. As has been noted, this is now off topic, so the thread will be locked.

Well im going to abuse my powers and put my 2 cents in just for the heck of it :)

I've always thought that Shockwave and Flash were two separate things as well(AFTER Adobe bought Macromedia). Thats why there are two separate tests in the link abfan posted.
