I didn't say to remove anything. I just thought that this was the place to post suggestions about the forum. It was just an opinion. It does look kind of crowded if there are no spaces between text and graphics.

Another thought would be to have username and rank text in black for everybody and have the rank graphics (which are in color). That way it would be easy to see everything clearly.

AvantGuard in grey I think it would look good although there is no grey so I guess olive could be next choice. But I wouldn't have it in the same color as the rank text.
NOT Gray please. Leave it black if you have to, but not gray.......it just sounds.............well............. OLD!

Everything except 808080 looks good on SoftBlue.

Pip - what about this: Image - it's grey too. I just want to make it the same. It could be dark grey, almost black. ;)

Also orange - this is orange: Image and default phpBB admin color is orange too, so I'd like to have it the same, maybe darker orange, DrDrrae, could you try it?

Also Anderson's color is yelow, so darker yellow would be nice, it is already, but now it's very similar to Support Stuff - this color could be lighter green, since they are moderators too.

Hope you know what I mean.
About your progress bar... although there is no reason for it since there is rank it's still nicely designed.
Check few first posts, then you'll probably understand what I mean...

No Dreamer, I don't like the gray for Avantguard....also do not like the Orange for Admin. I don't see why, just because it's default for phpBB, it must be used for this forum. I think it should be left up to the Admin of this forum what colors they want to use!

I don't like default phpBB colors too, but I just don't want to use TWO DIFFERENT COLORS for admin, avantguard, developer... Do you understand what I mean now? Let's use purple, or white ( ), but use it everywhere!

Anyway, if the admin/mod colors will be different in every other forum, it will be confusing though, then any colors will be quite useless.

How can it be confusing it the colors are labeled as to what they are, regardless of the color? It isn't! There is also a legend at the bottom of the initial forum homepage that provides examples of the Staff colors for those who might not be familiar with the uniqueness of this forum.

If you were Admin here at this forum, then maybe you could dictate what colors to use, but since you are not, you just need to become accustomed to whatever the Admin and Staff decide is best this forum, just as you would no doubt do for any other forum in which you might participate.

This is not very important.

I'm not doing this! I don't care if you change it or not. It's just my opinion. Where do you find that I said "you must use these colors"??

I thought this section (Forum Suggestions) is for "Tips for making the forum even better", if not, you should change that text maybe. :?

What looks strange TO ME is - different colors for the same rank, e.g.:

- red / orange for admin
- blue / light green for support staff
...

Those are being looked into. Just because you can't see what's going on behind the scenes, doesn't mean it's not there.

Excuse me Dreamer, but when I read the following postings by you, it sure looked (to me at least) as if you were making every attempt you could short of saying that the colors you recommend "must" be used.

Dreamer wrote:
About new colors, better than first time, but I suggest these colors, more intuitive and exact:

I know, orange doesn't look so good, but it's a standard, so it should be used, it could be a bit darker if possible. Developer color could be also dark yellow instead of red and AvantGuard could be dark grey, if possible.
Pip - what about this: - it's grey too. I just want to make it the same. It could be dark grey, almost black.

So Dreamer, if I was wrong in assuming you were trying to insist on "standard" colors as opposed to what the Admin and Staff decide upon for their own forum, I apologize.

Well, my point being that there are words there... people don't have to rely on colors. And if they can't read, they'll probably be looking for something other than our member ranks. ;)

Don't forget this one. I'm sure there's more, but the length of this thread is becoming completely disproportionate to my interest in it.

Well, my point being that there are words there... people don't have to rely on colors.
I said this is not important, last time:

What looks strange TO ME is - different colors for the same rank ON THIS FORUM, e.g.

Now I can see "hornakapopolis" below in "Topic review" (BTW without any text "admin") in RED, when I read this topic, I can see this Image in ORANGE, therefore I have SUGGESTED to use the same color (orange or red - it does not matter) - support stuff colors are green / blue, also not the same. Perhaps it's also my 'not perfect' English, I hope you know what I mean now.

All I said here is just my opinion, if you don't like it, I respect it, of course.

I second to that. It does look great!

And the spacing between rank graphic and avatar makes it look clean.

Good work guys!
