Spam is different in different forums, so I would like an administrator to give
some not too obvious,or less obvious examples of what they calll spam in this
forum. I belong to a lot of forums but I still get confused depending upon what
the forum is. I really do not want to hear "Use good judgement", "Use discretion"
or obvious blatant examples. What I would like to know,for instance,is would it
be considered spam to post a link to my website where I tell everyone that
AvantBrowser is the best web browser, especially for autosurfing in groups?
Or would this be considered blatant advertising for that link?
Please for everyone's benefit include a lot of obscure examples. Don't
just answer that one question. If anyone else with a lot of experience on
this forum would like to add some intelligent examples it would be greatly
appreciated by me and other individuals who are new to this forum.

No,ofcourse not. I work for the federal government and I do not do anything illegal,immoral
or even foolish. I did put a link in one post that applied to the post in question that I tried to edit but the forum would not let me, so all my signatures have been deleted. That is the reason I asked the
question about spam in the first place which was to avoid this happening.

There is a spot for a website in your profile, which is probably more appropriate to "advertise" your own site. You should keep in mind that this is a forum of morality. Which means you should be courteous of other people's beliefs, views, political opinions, etc. I don't know the story on your signature, but it might not have been a case of spam, it could have offended someone. I also think it would only be fair for an admin to also explain that, if that was the case.
