the new picture bar - option wanted: appear under cursor

Post by brotherCC » Fri Oct 22, 2004 4:01 pm

Hi,

I like the new picture bar, that pops up if you move the cursor on a pic, but would like to have it to appear directly under the cursor, so that I can easily click to save it *without* moving the mouse a bit to the button of the screen first!

I suppose it's now the way it is just to 'protect' novice users that tend to click everywhere accidently ;) So maybe add an option, that would change it to the way I (and surely every other user who uses the Logitech 'Smart Move' function) would like.

Thanks for considering it! And please, other Logitech Smart Move users out there, drop a line to see if I'm right! :-)

Well, allowing it to appear right under the cursor in an interactive flash object or an image map would be really inconvenient. I'd personally go the direction of having an option to have it appear in the upper left corner (a la IE and Maxthon/MyIE2) or where it is now (or disabled of course).

Well, maybe could my wish be limited to not-moving objects only :-)

Anyway, some strange picture bar behaviour needs to be removed also.

Show floating toolbar right below the cursor - so I can immediately click on Copy (as option maybe).

Now:

I'm not against this suggestion ir anything, but I'd keep in mind that this is really only handy for only one action you'd like to do.

Not really - you have to do "two moves" for other actions now (down and right), with this feature there would be only one move needed.

Maybe there could be another option - Sort floating toolbar 'buttons'.

However, I think 'Copy' is most used action, so it would be very useful.

Take a look at this thread too - Show floating toolbar transparent.

Picture bar lacking

Post by peartree » Tue Jul 19, 2005 4:20 pm

What it's lacking is a way to register your picture editor of choice for graphics. I have a number of editors in place, but only > 2 < show up on the editor menu.

Give us a way to MAKE it put them on the bar drop-down menu. AND a way to take ones OFF.
