Toolbars in different position

Post by Wiland » Sat May 04, 2013 4:59 am

Hello!

I have used for a long time Avant Browser, and I always like to put toolbars in the lower position, but in this new version 2013 build 107 I can't do. :(

Please include this option again to move toolbars to lower position of the screen!

Regards.

The "lower postion" you mentioned is the bottom of screen?
It would be better if you can show me a screenshot.

Thanks, but this only applies for tabs not for standard buttons and toolbars. [-X

Putting the other toolbars on the bottom is not allowed in the current versions.

Better yet ... could Anderson PLEASE sell the pre-2013 versions of Avant Browser to somebody who really cares about providing a browser which users actually WANT? Then Anderson could continue to tinker with his undesirable AB 2013 build 100+ to his heart's delight and the rest of us could maybe actually see further development of the browser we loved.

I'm ready to offer 5$ for 2013 ones

Actually there isn't much someone could do with 2012 builds. Just fix small bugs and continue optimization + updates. Everything else was perfect.

Some of the feature requests that have not been implemented yet would be worth implementing.

I'm inclined to agree with the idea. As much as I have generally loved Avant, it seems to be going in a very user-unfriendly direction. You guys can't move your toolbars down below, but that's really a blessing - since I haven't even been able to see the bottom status/tabs bars when I fullscreen for a long time now. I've filed and updated the bug report many times, and it's never been fixed. Seems like every time a new bug gets introduced it just gets ignored.

And now my "minimize to tray when X clicked" feature seems entirely gone, which was something I rather relied upon.

Sell the old code to somebody who'll take it in a direction people want.

I agree - can we have the old one back please ?

There's no point in changing for the sake of it - a change needs to provide an improvement in functionality

I can't see any improvement

Why not do the sensible thing and create a separate browser for those using miniature screens ?
After all, the requirements are quite different ...
