requests for AB2013 107

Post by matsuda0707 » Thu May 02, 2013 1:00 pm

Today I installed AB2013 107, but the favorites side bar is fixed to the right side. Please make it option to select the sides of favirites side bar. I am a long term user of AB, so the left side bar is very familiar for me.
And the status bar should be displayed even in modern mode such as Stikers or Opal skins.

Yeah, I also noticed the sidebar showing on the right side when I installed build 107. And to my surprise, I couldn't find a setting to get it back to the left side. I downgraded back to build 23 as I don't like my bookmarks on the right side.

So I agree, please add an option for this as I'm sure many users are going to be displeased with this.

This is like the start button of Windows 8.
They thought this was a new feature of Windows 8, but many users were disappointed and request the start bottun and Microsoft will recover the start bottun in next Windows 8.1!

It seems that most of you like to put the sidebar on left. We'll consider it.

Thanks.
I hope it is realized in the next release as soon as possible.
As You changed the bookmarks sidebar position, when browsing the internet pages, we must move eyes and neck to the right side, and then move to the left side to read and see the selected page contents! it seems to cause the neck problem!
Please do not change basic UI by your favorites like Windows 8 start button!

NOT GOOD ENOUGH!

All we're getting these days are un-kept promises and "We'll consider it." What happened to "Anderson said he will make it as same as the current classic UI as possible"? I'd really like to know what's behind Anderson's new philosophy regarding Avant. The current direction things are going seems like the intent is to destroy it, and that makes no sense at all.

Update Avant Browser 11.7 Build 46 to Avant Browser 2013 Build 107

this is my first successful attempt to transition to the new version, thank you very much for the work done

Standard Buttons:

* Please return the "Stop All" (Shift + ESC);
* The ability to change the order of the buttons (the new order is different from the old one);
* "Scroll the current tab is automatically" - the ability to manually set the scroll speed in "pixels per second";
* Cleaning of records - a menu item to clear the record selected in the "Settings :: Clearing records";

Window title:

* The ability to remove the button skins;
* The ability to display the minimize button in the system tray of the latter;

Favorites Bar:

* Replace the word "AutoFill" on icon the "AutoFill";
* This label is often displayed in English regardless of the language (bug :? );

The address bar:

* When you select a new rendering engine in the current tab automatically update it;
* Context menu item "to add the current address in the drop down menu" existing scheme is not always convenient;

The panel found:

* There are no old buttons at the end of the panel, I would like to see them;
* The ability to clean search history capabilities similar to delete rows in the address bar drop-down context menu on the desired location;

Status bar:

* Not available on new skins "Stikers" and "Opal";
* Hides when changing skins from the old to the new, and vice versa;
* Return the slider to select the setting and smooth scale, I only take them and do not use hard preloaded points scale selection from the menu;

The tab bar:

* The ability to hide the "new";
* The absence of tabs on the panel and click on the "new" open tab "browser:home"
* Open a tab "browser:home", in the absence of tabs on the panel automatically (I beg you not to remove in the future the address bar drop-down list "aka Opera" - this is bad);

Panel stories:

* The ability to display the left as it was;
* Under the search bar on the history hidden history tree (bug?)

Icons skin:

* IconPack as an independent part of the skin (the ability to choose as a separate part of the current skin to be able to see the usual set of icons without searching and installation of alternative skins);

Import settings to the server:

* The ability to select multiple options from a list to be imported in one step;

Session:

* The ability to save the current set of tabs open in a new folder in the Favorites pane, the folder can be set as the date and time of saving the session;
* Be able to specify which folder for favorites to create a folder to save the session;

Ad Blocking:

* Please tighten up;

You just about covered everything that's already been covered before. Build 107 sucks with a loud vacuuming noise...

Returning the File etc menu would be great - for the life of me, I couldn't find it when I tested it last (day or three ago).

Having the compact NOT set as the default style (but instead the old "traditional" style).

FYI btw folks, for those running Vista etc - standard default themes (styles) don't work on Vista, you'll need to switch prior to being able to see everything (had the same issue on a friends machine, after dropping from 107 back down to 23 - nothing showed, even after a complete uninstall/re-install)
