Post by mbrazil » Mon Oct 15, 2012 5:12 am

Please add the ability to double click anywhere on the lilac error screen to refresh that tab.

Don't you like using the refresh button?

Actually, no I don't, at least not much. I've got Avant set to refresh the tab when I double click the tab button, but for some reason, I find myself double clicking the lilac screen instead after a firefox engine crash. It would be handy to be able to do that.

Why can't you use f5 to refresh the page?

Please provide the following information before reporting problems:
Avant Version; System(also point out it is a 32 or 64-bit OS);IE; Memory Size; CPU Speed;
Optional: Firewall; Graphics Card

For the problems hard to replay, could you add me into your MSN or Skype list if you use either of them? The advantage is that you can let us know the situation in the first place by making some screenshots, sharing your screen or explaining the specific problems more clearly when they happen.

I most often refresh individual tabs by double clicking the tab button. For some reason, when the firefox engine crashes, I find myself double clicking the page itself instead of the tab button. I just thought it wouldn't hurt to add that capability, since it seems intuitive.

Double clicking the lilac page to reload it has been implemented in avant 2013. It's under test.

You're making my day! How much longer before we get an alpha or a beta of 2013?

The earlier the better, because (as ill-advised as it may be) I intend to upgrade to Windows 8 during the "cheap upgrade" period (which ends Jan. 31, 2013), and I want there to be a Windows 8-compatible version of Avant Browser when I do so. (The upgrade is a gift from a friend, so I can't very well refuse it.)

Ya you can it is flawed you can take the disk wait and see what happens but i tell you now they will be putting out a new windows 8 with most flaws but remember your dealing with microsoft i have win7 and i stay with that then i will go in another direction like UBUNTU or the like before even thinking about win 8
